NHL: Buffalo 1, Philadelphia 0

BUFFALO, N.Y., April 13 (UPI) -- Christian Ehrhoff's ricochet goal was all Buffalo needed Saturday with Jhonas Enroth notching his third career shutout in a 1-0 win over Philadelphia.

Enroth, in his seventh start this season, made 11 of his 29 saves in the final frame.

Ehrhoff broke a scoreless tie 17 seconds into the third when his shot from the point rebounded off the backboard and glanced off the pads of Philadelphia's Steve Mason into the net.

Kevin Porter and Steve Ott got assists for Buffalo, which snapped a two-game skid and kept its faint playoff hopes alive.

Mason turned aside 20-of-21 for Philadelphia, which is on verge of elimination from post-season contention.
