MLS: Columbus at Montreal, ppd., snow

MONTREAL, April 13 (UPI) -- A scheduled Major League Soccer match between the Montreal Impact and Columbus Crew Saturday was postponed due to snow.

The game was moved to Sunday at noon EDT after forecasts called for accumulations of 6-9 inches of snow in Montreal.

"Based on the snow that already has fallen in Montreal, and the forecast for the next 18-24 hours, the weather conditions will hamper efforts to clear the field and the stadium," Nelson Rodriguez, MLS executive vice president of competition and game operations, said in a statement.
