MLB: Arizona 3, Los Angeles Dodgers 0

PHOENIX, April 13 (UPI) -- Patrick Corbin and three relievers teamed up for a six-hit shutout Friday in bringing Arizona a 3-0 blanking of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Corbin (2-0) gave up three of the hits in a six-inning effort, outdueling Los Angeles starter Clayton Kershaw.

J.J. Putz finished off the shutout, earning his second save despite putting runners on first and second with one away in the ninth. Putz got Jerry Hairston to ground into a double play that ended the contest.

Arizona scratched out three runs with none of them coming in on a base hit.

Paul Goldschmidt delivered a run in the fourth by grounding into a double play and the Diamondbacks came up with two bases-loaded walks in the eighth to finish the scoring.

Kershaw (2-1) gave up all three runs on six hits over 7 1/3. He did not allow a run in either of his first two starts.
