MLB: Arizona 10, Pittsburgh 2

PHOENIX, April 10 (UPI) -- A.J. Pollock bashed a pair of homers and drove in four runs Wednesday, sparking the Arizona Diamondbacks to a 10-2 romp over Pittsburgh.

Pollock finished 3-for-5 with a three-run homer and a solo shot while scoring three runs for the D-backs, who avoided a three-game sweep at the hands of the Pirates.

Alfredo Marte contributed two hits, including an RBI double to cap a three run first inning for Arizona.

Wade Miley (2-0) earned the victory, surrendering a pair of runs on five hits over 6 2/3 innings. The left-hander walked three and struck out five.

Pirates starter Jonathan Sanchez (0-2) was pounded for nine runs over just 3 1/3 innings, yielding eight hits while walking four.

Starling Marte went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
