NHL: Winnipeg 4, Philadelphia 1

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, April 6 (UPI) -- Evander Kane and Bryan Little each provided a goal and an assist during a big second period that carried the Winnipeg Jets over Philadelphia 4-1 Saturday.

Grant Clitsome and Kyle Wellwood also scored during the four-goal middle frame, which enabled the Jets to break a five-game losing streak.

Blake Wheeler provided two assists for Winnipeg, which is battling the Washington Capitals for the Southeast Division crown down the stretch of the campaign.

Ondrej Pavelec earned the victory, turning aside 30-of-31 shots.

Ruslan Fedotenko scored for the Flyers, whose four-game winning streak ended. Philadelphia remained three points out of an Eastern Conference playoff spot.

Ilya Bryzgalov started in goal but was chased after two periods, yielding four goals on 16 shots.

Steve Mason finished up with nine saves for the Flyers.
