MLB: Colorado 5, San Diego 2

DENVER, April 5 (UPI) -- Solo home runs from Wilin Rosario and Dexter Fowler helped carry Colorado to a 5-2 win Friday over San Diego in the Rockies' home opener.

The homers came in the fourth and fifth innings after Colorado had overcome an early deficit with a three-run third. Troy Tulowitzki highlighted the third with a two-run double, pushing Colorado to its third straight victory.

Jeff Francis (1-0) held San Diego to five hits and a lone run through six innings to get the victory. Francis became the second pitcher in Rockies history to throw 1,000 innings with the team.

All of Colorado's runs came against starter Jason Marquis (0-1), although only two of them were earned.

San Diego has lost three of its first four games.
