NBA: Minnesota 107, Milwaukee 98

MILWAUKEE, April 3 (UPI) -- Nikola Pekovic led a strong Minnesota shooting performance Wednesday that launched the Timberwolves to a 107-98 win over Milwaukee.

Minnesota shot 53 percent from the field and Pekovic was a chief contributor by going 11-of-14 while scoring 27 points. The Timberwolves made 8-of-13 shots from 3-point range.

Ricky Rubio added 19 points, 12 assists and eight steals in helping Minnesota win for the third time in four games. Derrick Williams tacked on 15 points.

Milwaukee, a loser six times in its last eight games, was led by Ersan Ilyasova with 29 points and 12 rebounds.
