TAMPA, Fla., April 2 (UPI) -- Florida's Peter Mueller put a shot past Mathieu Garon for the only goal in a shootout Tuesday and the Panthers held on to post a 3-2 win over Tampa Bay.

The score came in the first round of the tiebreaker, and Florida needed stops by Jacob Markstrom on Teddy Purcell, Victor Hedman and Steven Stamkos to seal the win -- Florida's third straight.
