NBA: Minnesota 110, Boston 100

MINNEAPOLIS, April 1 (UPI) -- Nikola Pekovic pumped in 29 points Monday, going 11-of-11 from the free-throw line to help Minnesota end a long skid against Boston with a 110-100 victory.

Pekovic overcame a sprained ankle to also haul down five rebounds as the Timberwolves beat the Celtics for the first time in 12 meetings and posted their second win three games overall.

Dante Cunningham contributed 19 points and Andrei Kirilenko chipped in with 17, nine boards and five assists for Minnesota.

Slumping Boston, meanwhile, fell for the seventh time in nine contests.

Avery Bradley led the Celtics with 19 points.
