NBA: Utah 105, Portland 95

PORTLAND, Ore., March 30 (UPI) -- Mo Williams keyed a fourth-quarter effort Friday that brought Utah a 105-95 win over Portland and moved the Jazz into a tie for the West's final playoff spot.

Utah and the Los Angeles Lakers both have 37-36 records and are deadlocked for the No. 8 position in the conference. Those two teams lead Dallas by 1 1/2 games in the fight for the last post-season berth.

Williams went 10-of-19 from the field and scored 28 points. Utah trailed by one heading into the fourth quarter, but pulled away to win their third in a row.

Paul Millsap added 25 points and Al Jefferson collected 22 for Utah, which hit half its field goal attempts.

Damian Lillard led Portland with 24 points. It was the Trail Blazers' third straight loss.
