MLS: Los Angeles 2, Toronto FC 2 (tie)

TORONTO, March 30 (UPI) -- Jose Villarreal scored late in second-half stoppage time Saturday, earning the Los Angeles Galaxy a dramatic road point with a 2-2 tie against Toronto FC.

Villarreal unleashed a spectacular volley off a free kick, firing a shot past Joe Bendik just before time ran out to salvage the tie the Galaxy (2-0-2), who extended their unbeaten streak to start the season.

Mike Magee chipped in with his MLS-leading fifth goal for two-time defending champion Los Angeles, and star forward Landon Donovan made his season debut for the Galaxy.

The result boosted Los Angeles to eight points from four matches.

Robert Earnshaw and Jonathan Osorio scored for Toronto (1-2-1), which was on the verge of notching a second home victory before settling for the tie.

Toronto has four points from four games.
