NBA: Miami 108, Orlando 94

ORLANDO, Fla., March 25 (UPI) -- LeBron James provided 24 points, 11 assists and nine rebounds Monday in the Miami Heat's 27th straight win, a 108-94 triumph over Orlando.

The Heat got closer to the 1971-72 Los Angeles Lakers' record of 33 straight despite the absence of all-star guard Dwyane Wade for a second straight game with a sore knee.

The Chicago Bulls and New Orleans Hornets will each host Miami this week in an attempt to snap its streak, while attention began focusing on Sunday's showdown pitting the Heat against Western Conference-leading San Antonio.

The victory also gave Miami its 13th straight road win -- one short of tying the 1996 franchise mark.

Orlando, meanwhile, fell while playing without the high-scoring tandem of Arron Afflalo and Nikola Vucevic.

Tobias Harris scored 20 points as the Magic dropped their seventh consecutive game.
