PITTSBURGH, March 24 (UPI) -- Tyler Kennedy's goal 2:27 into overtime Sunday completed a rally that carried the Pittsburgh Penguins to their 12th straight win, 2-1 over Philadelphia.
The Pens were trailing 1-0 until 6:14 was left in regulation, when Sidney Crosby one-timed a pass from Paul Martin past Ilya Bryzgalov for the equalizer.
Then midway through overtime, Kennedy collected the puck in the left circle and unleashed a wrist shot that beat the Flyers' goalie high to the short side for the game-winner.
The result avoided a repeat of last season for the Penguins, when Philadelphia downed them in March 2012 to break an 11-game winning streak.
Marc-Andre Fleury earned the with win 27 saves.
Claude Giroux scored and Bryzgalov ended with 33 saves for the Flyers, who fell for the third time in four games.
