Mejia struck again in the 75th minute when he found Joaquin Velasquez at the back post for a header that sailed over the head of Paolo Tornaghi for the eventual game-winner.

Juan Agudelo added an insurance tally 2 minutes later and the Goats (2-1-1) got an own-goal from Chicago's Jalil Anibaba to finish the scoring.

The win pushed Chivas USA into a tie for second place in the Western Conference.

The Fire (0-3-1) will have to wait two weeks for another next crack at its first win of the season. Chicago visits New York April 7.
