NHL: Nashville 5, Columbus 2

NASHVILLE, March 23 (UPI) -- Nashville's Taylor Beck provided a goal and an assist Saturday and the Predators handed Columbus its first regulation defeat in 13 games, 5-2.

Matt Halischuk, David Legwand, Shea Weber and Roman Josi each found the net for Nashville, which continued its recovery from a four-game losing streak with a second straight win.

Pekka Rinne notched the win with 21 saves.

R.J. Umberger and Artem Anisimov each scored for the Blue Jackets, whose club record of 12 straight games with at least one point came to an end.

Sergei Bobrovsky started in goal for Columbus but made it only midway through the first period before he was pulled, yielding four goals on 11 shots.

Steven Mason relieved and stopped all 12 shots he faced the rest of the way.
