NHL: Dallas 4, Calgary 3

DALLAS, March 18 (UPI) -- Loui Eriksson netted two goals, including the decisive score in the third period, and Dallas snapped a four-game skid Monday with a 4-3 win over Calgary.

Eriksson's second goal of the game came with 7:54 remaining during a scramble in front of the net following a Flames turnover and staked the Stars to a 4-2 advantage.

They would need the goal when Alex Tanguay fired in a backhander 3 minutes later to make it close, but Dallas held on down the stretch for its first win since March 7.

Erik Cole and Eric Nystrom also scored while Kari Lehtonen finished with 16 saves in the victory.

Jiri Hudler and Jay Bouwmeester also found the net for the Flames, whose two-game winning streak was broken.

Joey MacDonald turned aside 20 shots in the loss.
