ST. LOUIS, March 12 (UPI) -- Jake Allen improved to 6-1 on the season with a 39-save performance and Chris Stewart scored twice Tuesday in the St. Louis Blues' 4-2 win over San Jose.

Allen, a rookie making only his seventh NHL start, continued a hot streak by stopping 18-of-19 San Jose shots during a furious second period for the Blues.
