NHL: Columbus 3, Detroit 0

COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 9 (UPI) -- Sergei Bobrovsky made 30 saves to log his first career NHL shutout Saturday and the Columbus Blue Jackets beat Detroit 3-0 to conclude a successful home stand.

Bobrovsky was busiest in the third period, when he turned away 13 Red Wings shots and helped boost the Blue Jackets to a their fourth win in four home games.

Nick Foligno, Cam Atkinson and Jack Johnson each scored for Columbus, which took the season series from Detroit for the first time in the franchise's 13-year history.

Jonas Gustavsson stopped 21-of-24 shots for Detroit, which lost for only the third time in eight games.
