NHL: Anaheim 4, Calgary 0

ANAHEIM, Calif., March 9 (UPI) -- Rookie Viktor Fasth stopped 29 shots for his second career shutout Friday in carrying Anaheim to a 4-0 victory over Calgary.

Fasth had allowed four goals during two of his previous three starts, but despite that rough stretch he increased his record to 10-1 with his victory over the Flames.

The Ducks won their second in a row and their 37 points are second in the NHL only to the 45 piled up by Chicago, which lost in regulation on Friday for the first time all season.

Daniel Winnik scored the only goal Fasth needed 1:15 into the game. Bobby Ryan and Shelton Souray added second-period tallies and Ryan Getzlaf contributed a fourth goal with 3:42 to play.

Getzlaf had reason to celebrate earlier in the day when he signed an eight-year contract extension with the Ducks.

Miikka Kiprusoff took the loss, allowing the four goals on 24 shots.
