NBA: Oklahoma City 122, LA Lakers 105

OKLAHOMA CITY, March 6 (UPI) -- Russell Westbrook scored 37 points and had 10 rebounds Tuesday in Oklahoma City's 122-105 victory over the visiting Los Angeles Lakers.

Kevin Durant added 26 points in the Thunder's wire-to-wire victory, which gave them five wins in six starts and blocked the Lakers from reaching .500.

Oklahoma City shot 47.9 percent from the field and turned the ball over only two times, tying an NBA record set in 2006 by Denver and equaled in 2009 by the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Kobe Bryant led Los Angeles with 30 points despite having to retreat to the locker room in the first half with an unlar nerve contusion on his right elbow. He returned in the second half.

Bryant helped the Lakers make a late bid to overtake the Thunder. Steve Nash, who had 20 points, sank a 3-pointer with 6:14 to play that cut Oklahoma City's lead to 110-105, but those were the last points the Lakers scored.

Dwight Howard vacuumed up 16 rebounds for the Lakers but only scored six points and fouled out in the Lakers' 16-point fourth quarter.
