ANAHEIM, Calif., March 2 (UPI) -- Matt Beleskey gave Anaheim a three-goal lead midway through the second period Friday and the Ducks held in edging the Minnesota Wild 3-2.

The Ducks improved to 8-1 at home this season while six of Minnesota's eight losses have come on the road.

Ryan Getzlaf and Teemy Selanne produced first-period goals for Anaheim and Beleskey's tip-in with 8:34 to go in the second gave the Ducks a comfortable lead.

Kyle Brodziak ignited Minnesota's hopes by scoring on a slap shot 29 seconds into the third period and Devin Setoguchi brought the Wild within one when he put a slap shot past Jonas Hiller with 9:23 to play.

Hiller, however, was perfect the rest of the way and finished with 31 saves while improving his season record to 6-2.

Darcy Kuemper, appearing for only the third time this year, stopped 26 shots for Anaheim.
