ACAPULCO, Mexico, March 2 (UPI) -- Sara Errani and Carla Suarez Navarro recorded easy wins Friday to set up a championship matchup at the Mexican Open.
The top two seeded players in the tournament made it to the finals in almost identical fashion. Errani defeated Alize Cornet 6-2, 6-1 in their semifinal contest and Suarez Navarro was a winner by the same score over Silvia Soler-Espinosa.

Errani has won six WTA titles while Suarez Navarro is seeking her first.
The finalists have met seven times in their careers with Errani holding a 4-3 edge. Suarez Navarro, however, won their most recent confrontation. That 6-4, 6-4 victory came in the opening round of this year's Australian Open.
