ACAPULCO, Mexico, March 2 (UPI) -- Defending champion Sara Errani of Italy protected her Acapulco title Saturday, dispatching Spaniard Carla Suarez Navarro in the final of the Mexican Open.
The top-seeded Errani bested No. 2 Suarez Navarro 6-0, 6-4 in the 1-hour, 35-minute contest, taking advantage of four double faults en route to the clay-court win.
