NBA: Utah 98, Charlotte 68

SALT LAKE CITY, March 1 (UPI) -- Enes Kanter picked up the slack for his missing teammates Friday and guided Utah to a 98-68 whipping of Charlotte.

The Bobcats put up little resistance while losing their fifth in a row. Their 13 victories this year are the fewest in the NBA.

Utah's Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap both sat out the game with ankle sprains, but Kanter made up for their absence by scoring 23 points and grabbing 22 rebounds. He went 10-of-12 from the field while playing 44 minutes.

Gordon Hayward added 14 points for Utah, which ended a three-game losing streak.

Byron Mullins, with 12 points, was the leading Charlotte scorer. The Bobcats managed just nine points in the first period and only 24 in the opening half.
