NEWARK, N.J., Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Evander Kane scored the go-ahead goal late in the second period Sunday and the Winnipeg Jets rallied for a 4-2 victory over New Jersey.

The Devils were leading 2-1 when Winnipeg's Grant Clitsome notched the equalizer on a power play 13 minutes into the middle frame.

Kane then struck less than 5 minutes later when he got the puck on a breakaway down the middle, sped past two defensemen and avoided a poke check by New Jersey goalie Johan Hedberg for a goal.

Andrew Ladd and Zach Bogosian also tallied as the Jets won for the third time in four games.

Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec made 24 saves.

Travis Zajac and Steve Bernier scored and Hedberg finished with 23 stops for the Devils.
