NHL: Los Angeles 3, Edmonton 1

EDMONTON, Alberta, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Two quick goals in the final seconds of regulation Tuesday gave the Los Angeles Kings a 3-1 victory on the road over the Edmonton Oilers.

Jeff Carter stunned the crowd at Rexall Place by tipping a hard shot by Trevor Lewis into the net with 49.4 seconds to play, breaking a 1-1 tie and guaranteeing the Kings their third win in their last four games.

Jarrett Stoll closed the game out with an empty net score, and Colin Fraser scored the first Los Angeles goal at 4:44 of the second period.

Sam Gagner scored in the second period for Edmonton to tie the score 1-1. Nikolai Khabibulin allowed two goals on 37 shots.

Jonathan Quick tallied 23 saves in the Los Angeles win.
