MONTREAL, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Brendan Gallagher had a goal and an assist and David Desharnais scored the eventual game-winner Saturday in the Montreal Canadiens' 4-1 win over Philadelphia.
Gallagher opened the scoring with his fifth goal of the season midway through the first period and assisted on a Desharnais tally early in the second that gave the Canadiens a 2-0 lead.

Tomas Plekanec scored and Rene Bourque added an empty-netter and an assist for the Habs, who reeled off a third straight victory.
Peter Budaj turned aside 18-of-19 shots.
Danny Briere scored and Brian Boucher gave up three goals on 28 shots for the Flyers, who fell for the third time in four games.
