NHL: St. Louis 4, Detroit 3 (OT)

DETROIT, Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Alex Steen's goal off a feed from Barrett Jackman 52 seconds into overtime Wednesday helped St. Louis snap a five-game skid, 4-3 over Detroit.

The winning play came when Jackman took the puck behind the Detroit net and banked a pass off the skate of Red Wings netminder Jimmy Howard.

The puck bounded over to Steen, who corralled the bouncing disk and shoveled it past Howard for the game-winner.

Chris Stewart recorded a goal and a helper while Vladimir Tarasenko and Patrik Berglund also found the net as the Blues won for the first time in February.

Jake Allen earned the victory with 15 saves.

Tomas Tatar, Pavel Datsyuk, Drew Miller scored while Howard made 21 saves as Detroit saw its three-game winning streak snapped.
