NHL: Toronto 3, Winnipeg 2

WINNIPEG, Manitoba, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Matt Frattin and Phil Kessel brought Toronto from behind with third-period goals Thursday and the Maple Leafs held on to defeat Winnipeg 3-2.

Toronto has won just once in five tries at home, but the Maple Leafs improved to 5-1 on the road with their comeback victory.

Andrew Ladd gave Winnipeg a 2-1 lead 3:46 into the third, but the Jets could not get another shot past James Reimer.

Frattin tipped in a shot to tie it with 5:02 left in regulation and Kessel scored 54 seconds later on the power play. Kessel's goal came 28 seconds after Alexei Ponikarovsky was sent off for holding.

Reimer made 23 saves in what was Toronto's second win in a row. Ondrej Pavelec stopped 15-of-18 shots for the Jets, who have lost four of five.
