NHL: Pittsburgh 6, New York Rangers 3

NEW YORK, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Pittsburgh's James Neal logged a pair of goals Sunday and the Penguins won a second straight to start the season, 6-3 over the New York Rangers.

Evgeni Malkin provided three assists and Sidney Crosby added another for his first point of the lockout-shortened campaign as the Penguins followed up a Saturday victory against Philadelphia.

Matt Niskanen, Kris Letang, Tyler Kennedy and Pascal Dupuis also scored for Pittsburgh, which spoiled the Rangers' home opener at Madison Square Garden.

Tomas Vokoun made 31 saves for the Penguins.

New York, meanwhile, fell to 0-2 on the season despite Rick Nash's first goal as a Ranger and scores by Taylor Pyatt and Ryan Callahan. Henrik Lundqvist was chased from the net after yielding four goals on 18 shots for New York.

Martin Biron mopped up with 20 saves.
