NBA: Toronto 99 Charlotte 78

TORONTO, Jan. 11 (UPI) -- Alan Anderson came off the bench to hit four 3-pointers Friday, sparking Toronto to a 99-78 win over Charlotte in which the Raptors led from start to finish.

Toronto built a 10-2 lead and was never threatened in winning for the 10th time in its last 13 games. Charlotte is still looking for its 10th victory of the season.

Anderson scored 16 points while playing 23 minutes in the blowout victory. Jose Calderon added 15 points, Amir Johnson had 13 and Ed Davis scored 12.

The Raptors held Charlotte to 37 percent shooting and continually increased their lead after grabbing a 13-point advantage in the opening period.

Charlotte was led by 12 points each from Michael Kidd-Gilchrest, Kemba Walker and Ben Gordon.

After opening season with a 4-19 record, Toronto has moved within five games of a playoff position with more than half the campaign to play.
