MINNEAPOLIS, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Minnesota Timberwolves all-star forward Kevin Love will miss 8-10 weeks after upcoming surgery for a broken hand, the team announced Wednesday.
Love originally broke the third and fourth metacarpals of his right hand while doing knuckle pushups during pre-season workouts and returned to the T-Wolves' lineup in November.

But he re-fractured the hand last week in a contest against Denver, and now needs surgery to correct the problem, the team said.
The procedure will be performed by Dr. Andy Weiland, a hand specialist at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.
Love has averaged 18.3 points and 14.0 rebounds through 18 games in limited action this season.
