NBA: Utah 100, Dallas 94

SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Gordon Hayward scored 27 points Monday and the Utah Jazz got hot in the fourth quarter to pull away and speed past struggling Dallas 100-94.

Al Jefferson provided 15 points and 11 rebounds while Paul Millsap added 14 and nine for the Jazz, who used a 12-0 run late in the final stanza to notch their third win in four games.

Alec Burks helped fuel the surge, netting eight of his 13 points down the stretch for Utah.

The Mavericks, meanwhile, lost a third straight game and fell for 12th time in 14 outings overall.

Dirk Nowitzki (20 points) and Chris Kaman (14, nine rebounds) paced Dallas in the loss.
