NBA: New Orleans 95, San Antonio 88

NEW ORLEANS, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Eric Gordon fired in 24 points Monday and the New Orleans Hornets bested San Antonio 95-88 to break a six-game losing streak against the Spurs.

The Hornets also snapped a seven-game home court slide with the help of rookie Anthony Davis, who added 17 points and nine rebounds.

Greivis Vasquez supplied a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists for the Hornets.

The Spurs, meanwhile, lost for the sixth time in eight road games despite 21 points from Manu Ginobili.

Tony Parker (16 points) and Tim Duncan (13 points, eight boards) also reached double figures for San Antonio.
