NBA: Sacramento 118, Boston 96

SACRAMENTO, Dec. 31 (UPI) -- Isaiah Thomas and John Salmons combined for 50 points Sunday and the Sacramento Kings spanked struggling Boston 118-96.

Thomas connected on 10-of-15 from the field en route to 27 points and Salmons put in 23 as the Kings won for the third time in four games.

Jason Thompson helped out with 20 points and six rebounds, and DeMarcus Cousins recorded a triple-double of 12 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists for the winners.

The Celtics, meanwhile, suffered a third straight loss of 18 or more points -- the first time that's happened since the 1977-78 season.

Jason Terry and Paul Pierce each provided 20 points for Boston.
