NBA: New Orleans 98, Charlotte 95

CHARLOTTE, N.C., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- New Orleans' Eric Gordon scored 24 points in his return from an injury Saturday and the Hornets dealt Charlotte an 18th straight loss, 98-95.

Gordon, who missed the season's first 29 games with a knee injury, also handed out seven assists in 25 minutes on the court as the Hornets erased a 21-point, first-half deficit to claim the victory.

Ryan Anderson came off the bench to net 19 points and Greivis Vasquez contributed 16 and eight assists in New Orleans' second win in three outings.

Charlotte looked to be on its way to breaking out of its funk but sank just 14-of-39 field goal attempts in the second half.

Michael Kidd-Gilchrist led the Bobcats with 22 points.

Gerald Henderson chipped in 19 for Charlotte.
