NBA: San Antonio 99, New Orleans 94

SAN ANTONIO, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Tony Parker scored 25 points Friday and touched off a late surge that wrapped up a 99-94 victory for San Antonio over New Orleans.

The Hornets lost their 10th consecutive game while the Spurs were snapping a two-game skid and improving their home record to 9-2.

New Orleans was within four points as the game entered its final 6 minutes, but Parker hit a layup that started a clutch 9-4 run. Boris Diaw finished off the burst with a 3-pointer that gave San Antonio a 93-84 lead with 3:53 to play.

Tim Duncan added 15 points along with 10 rebounds and Manu Ginobili had 13 points and seven assists for the Spurs. San Antonio shot 51 percent from the field with Parker going 10-for-17.

Anthony Davis scored 18 points in leading New Orleans, which trailed by 12 at the half and by 11 heading into the fourth period.
