NBA: Philadelphia 104, Detroit 97

PHILADELPHIA, Dec. 10 (UPI) -- Jrue Holiday heated up down the stretch Monday, scoring nearly half of his 25 points late in the Philadelphia 76ers' 104-97 triumph over Detroit.

Holiday netted 12 of his total in the fourth quarter as the Sixers shook off a tough challenge from the Pistons and emerged with their second win in three games.

Evan Turner turned in an all-around game with 18 points, 11 rebounds and seven assists in the victory.

Thaddeus Young also had a hot night from the floor, scoring 20 points for Philadelphia.

Brandon Knight and Greg Monroe each fired in 22 points but it wasn't enough for the Pistons to avoid the loss.

Rodney Stuckey helped out with 19 off the bench for Detroit.
