NFL: Denver 17, Kansas City 9

KANSAS CITY, Mo., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Peyton Manning overcame a slow start to hurl two touchdown passes Sunday and the Denver Broncos won a sixth straight game, 17-9 over Kansas City.

Manning shook off an interception early in the contest, finishing 22-of-37 through the air for 285 yards as the AFC West-leading Broncos improved to 8-3.

Jacob Tamme and Demaryius Thomas each contributed four receptions and a score while Knowshon Moreno filled in for injured running back Willis McGahee with 85 rushing yards on 20 carries for Denver.

Brady Quinn managed just 126 yards on 13-of-25 efficiency for the reeling Chiefs (1-10), who fell to 0-6 at home for the first time since 1976.

Jamaal Charles picked up 107 yards on 23 carries for Kansas City.
