NBA: New York 121, Detroit 100

NEW YORK, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony struck for 29 points Sunday and the New York Knicks got back on the winning track with a 121-100 cruise over Detroit.

Anthony connected on 10-of-18 from field while Steve Novak drained five 3-pointers on his way to 18 points as New York bounced back from a one-sided defeat to Houston Friday.

J.R. Smith contributed 15 points with 10 boards while Rasheed Wallace (15 points) and Raymond Felton (14 with 10 assists) also reached double figures.

Brandon Knight led the Pistons with 21 points.

Charlie Villanueva donated 17 and Kyle Singler supplied 16 in the loss.
