NBA: New York 102, New Orleans 80

NEW ORLEANS, Nov. 21 (UPI) -- Carmelo Anthony struck for 29 points Tuesday and the New York Knicks improved to 8-1 on the season with a 102-80 rout of New Orleans.

J.R. Smith and Raymond Felton each provided 15 points and Tyson Chandler dominated the boards with 12 rebounds as New York began a three-game road trip with an emphatic win.

The Knicks used a 20-6 run in the third quarter to put the contest away.

The Hornets -- playing without first-overall draft choice Anthony Davis due to an injured ankle -- got 15 points from Ryan Anderson in the loss, their fourth straight.
