NBA: Memphis 107, Oklahoma City 97

OKLAHOMA CITY, Nov. 14 (UPI) -- Quincy Pondexter hit three 3-pointers during an overwhelming second period Wednesday that vaulted Memphis to a 107-97 triumph over Oklahoma City.

Rudy Gay and Zach Randolph carried the scoring load, but it was Pondexter's long-range spark that rallied the Grizzlies to their sixth consecutive win.

Oklahoma City had also been trying to win six in a row, but suffered its second home loss of the campaign.

The Thunder owned a 10-point lead at the start of the second period, but by halftime the Grizzlies had moved in front 56-45. Oklahoma City came no closer than six points during the second half.

Gay scored 28 points and Randolph had 20 points and 11 rebounds before being ejected with 2:05 to play. Randolph has produced a double-double in all seven games this season.

The six straight Memphis wins have followed a season-opening loss on the road to the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Grizzlies overcame 34 points from Kevin Durant, who also had 10 rebounds. Russell Westbrook added 17 points and 13 assists for the Thunder and Serge Ibaka hit 7-of-10 shots for 17 points.
