PITTSBURGH, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- A survey of football fans named Pittsburgh Steelers safety Troy Polamalu the NFL's best-like player.

Polamalu's aggressive style of play, free-flowing long hair and television exposure, through his Head and Shoulders shampoo commercials, and the Steelers' regular appearances on national television, contribute to his popularity, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review said Thursday.

The survey, by A.C. Nielsen in collaboration with E-Poll Market Research, gave Polamalu a 63 percent appeal rating, ahead of New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees and Green Bay Packers defensive back Charles Woodson, who each received 62 percent, and Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning (59 percent), Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers (58 percent), and New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski (58 percent).

The least-liked players, the survey said, were Detroit Lions defensive lineman Ndamukong Suh at 19 percent, followed by Chicago Bears quarterback Jay Cutler with 21 percent and Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick at 23 percent.

Polamalu's jersey was the 10th best seller among NFL jerseys sold in September. Peyton Manning's was first on the list, the newspaper said.
