Top seeds reach Stockholm Open finals

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Top-seeded Jo-Wilfred Tsonga of France will face No. 2 seed Tomas Berdych in Sunday's finals of the Stockholm Open.

Tsonga advanced Saturday with a victory over Marcos Baghdatis of Cyprus, who withdrew with an injury in the closing stages of a match that ended with Tsonga ahead 6-4, 4-6, 5-2.

Berdych had an easier time against third-seeded Spaniard Nicolas Almagro. The Czech scored nine aces and won 6-3, 6-2 in 70 minutes.

Tsonga continued his hot streak with his 12th win in his last 14 matches. Tsonga lost to Berdych last week in the quarterfinals of the Shanghai Masters.
