Ryu back in women's golf Top 10

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla., Oct. 8 (UPI) -- Ryu So-yeon edged past Ahn Sun-ju for the No. 10 spot in the women's world golf rankings, which were updated Monday.

The LPGA moves into the Asian section of its 2012 schedule, with tournaments in Malaysia, South Korea, Taiwan and Japan in the next four weeks.

Ahn, due to devaluation of earlier tournament results as related to the rankings, saw her ranking point average slip to 6.05. Ryu's average is 6.09, which places her at the 10th spot in the rankings and relegates Ahn to 11th.

Yani Tseng has been No. 1 for the last 87 weeks. Her ranking point average is 12.86, well ahead of No. 2 Stacy Lewis (8.70) and third ranked Feng Shanshan (8.36).

Choi Na-yeon comes in the No. 4 spot at 8.23. with Jiyai Shin taking the fifth place at 7.67.

Inbee Park remains sixth with an average of 7.33, just up on Ai Miyazato's 7.30 average. Suzann Pettersen comes in eighth at 6.48 and Mike Miyazato (6.40) is ninth,
