PITTSBURGH, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Kevin Correia fired 6 2/3 innings of one-run ball Tuesday, staking the Pittsburgh Pirates to a 5-1 victory over Atlanta.
Correia (12-11) allowed a single run on six hits, walking one while striking out five as the Pirates clinched their season-ending series against the playoff-bound Braves.

Garret Jones pounded a two-run homer and Alex Presley stroked an RBI double during a three-run fifth inning that iced the contest for the Bucs.
Tommy Hanson (13-10) was touched for five runs on nine hits in a six inning stint for the Braves, who will host a National League wild card game Friday.
Juan Francisco drove in Atlanta's only run.
