NFL: New York Giants 41, Tampa Bay 34

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J., Sept. 16 (UPI) -- Andre Brown rushed for a 2-yard touchdown with 31 seconds left Sunday, capping a New York rally that carried the Giants past Tampa Bay 41-34.

The Giants trailed 27-13 early in the second half, but then caught fire, scoring the next 20 points to grab the lead.

The Buccaneers tied it 34-34 on Josh Freeman's 41-yard scoring strike to Mike Williams with 1:58 remaining in the fourth quarter, but Brown's score clinched for New York (1-1).

He carried the ball 13 times for 71 yards while Eli Manning connected for two of his three touchdown passes in the final quarter as the Giants staged a comeback to nab their first victory of the season.

Victor Cruz and Hakeem Nicks combined to make 21 receptions for 378 yards in the victory.

Freeman finished with 243 yards, two TDs and two pick-offs on 15-of-28 efficiency for Tampa Bay (0-2).
