MLB: Baltimore 12, Toronto 0

TORONTO, Sept. 4 (UPI) -- Mark Reynolds went 3-for-4 with four RBI to lead an 18-hit attack and Zach Britton fired seven shutout innings Tuesday in Baltimore's 12-0 rout of Toronto.

Reynolds bashed a three-run homer in the fifth inning to break a scoreless tie and added an RBI during a five-run eighth inning for the Orioles, who stayed hot with their 10th win in 12 games.

Nate McLouth drove in a pair while Nick Markakis, Chris Davis and Manny Machado each added three hits and an RBI as the Orioles forged a tie with the New York Yankees atop the American League East with their latest victory.

Britton (5-1), who was recalled from Class AAA Norfolk before Tuesday's game, scattered four hits, struck out eight and yielded a pair of walks as the O's clinched their three-game series.

Blue Jays starter Carlos Villanueva (7-6) was rocked for six runs on seven hits through 6 2/3 frames.
