Francisco Rodriguez hurled a scoreless eighth inning and John Axford collected his 21st save as Milwaukee took a 2-0 lead in its four-game series at Wrigley Field.

Bianchi, a rookie shortstop called up from Class AAA Nashville Saturday, smacked a three-run homer in the second inning to give the Brewers all the offense they would need.

Cubs starter Travis Wood (4-11) was touched for three runs on five hits over seven innings and also socked a bases-empty shot in the loss.
