David DeJesus led off the game for the Cubs with his sixth home run of the year but Braun backed Norichika Aoki's leadoff double with his double and then scored on Corey Hart's two-base hit.

Braun made the score 3-1 in the sixth with his home run. Only Adam Dunn, with 36, has more home runs in the majors this season.
